Wohn- und Atelierhaus Salzburg

The former workshop in the spaghetti bowl of streets and alley-ways in the right Old Town has served as a studio of the architecture couple, Christine and Horst Lechner , for quite a while. Now, they’ve set a three story tower on the top. Each floor of the steel structure serves an increasinggly private purpose. Generous sliding doors and roof terraces enable a flexible, multipurpose usage of the space. The basement surprises visitors with a swimming pool and their own filtration system , complete with drinking water reclamation (in the final form) system . Solarpanels, highest quality insulation , thoroughly conceived irrigation and drainagesystem fot the plant beds, etc. are meant to make the house self-sustaining.
