Wohn- und Atelierhaus Salzburg

Eine ehemalige Werkstätte im Gassengewirr der rechten Altstadt diente schon seit längerem dem Architektenpaar Christine und Horst Lechner als Atelier. Nun setzten sie den dreistöckigen Wohnturm darauf. Jedes Geschoß des Stahlbaues hat seine mit zunehmender Höhe privatere Bestimmung, großflächige Schiebetüren sowie Dachterrassen ermöglichen freiräumliche Vielfalt. Im Keller überaschen ein Schwimmbecken und die hauseigene Kläranlage samt Trinkwasserrückgewinnung (im Endausbau). Fotovoltaik, hochwertigste Dämmung, eine wohldurchdachte Be- und Entwässerung der Pflanzenbeete etc. sollen das Haus autark machen. Nm

The former workshop in the spaghetti bowl of streets and alley-ways in the right Old Town has served as a studio of the architecture couple, Christine and Horst Lechner , for quite a while. Now, they’ve set a three story tower on the top. Each floor of the steel structure serves an increasinggly private purpose. Generous sliding doors and roof terraces enable a flexible, multipurpose usage of the space. The basement surprises visitors with a swimming pool and their own filtration system , complete with drinking water reclamation (in the final form) system . Solarpanels, highest quality insulation , thoroughly conceived irrigation and drainagesystem fot the plant beds, etc. are meant to make the house self-sustaining. Nm
