Between two streams whose waters converge below the site, surrounded by forests and an existing rock formation, a small retreat for writing, music, and focused work was created. The constant sound of the water and the rustling of leaves in the wind become part of the spatial atmosphere and shape the character of the place.

The compact building opens toward a sheltered atrium which, together with the rock, forms an introverted outdoor space. This creates a quiet and private place between architecture and nature. The water is directed into a small fountain within the atrium, reinforcing the connection between the house, the landscape, and the topography.

The materiality is defined by the contrast between the dark exterior shell made of locally produced charred timber and the bright interior lined with whitewashed OSB panels. While the dark

wood gives the building a calm, almost archaic presence, the light interior creates warmth and brightness. The contrast between the two materials generates a spatial tension and a distinct atmosphere.

The interior is intentionally kept minimal. Natural materials, light, and the direct relationship to the surrounding landscape shape the spatial experience more strongly than conventional design elements. A climbing wall for children becomes part of the space itself, connecting play, movement,

and everyday life with the calm atmosphere of the house.Through a large folding glass façade, the main living space can be opened entirely toward the atrium. In this way, the boundary between interior and exterior dissolves, transforming the small space into an open platform between rock, water, forest, and light.
